About this resource

This alcohol health information card is popular on campuses and heath centers nationwide. The handout focuses on the many negative effects that alcohol can have on a user’s body. Beginning with an explanation that occasional, heavy use (binge drinking) or consistent, long-term drinking can lead to serious health problems.

The card covers nine different bodily systems, and lists serious health conditions that may arise as a result of alcohol consumption. The bodily systems include: eyes, brain, mouth, throat, heart, stomach, liver, pancreas, kidneys, blood, bones, as well as reproductive organs.

These cards are a smaller, pocket sized version of the matching displays. Together with the display makes it an easy companion piece to hand out after a presentation. From blood and bones, to reproductive organs, your audience will learn how alcohol can negatively affect eight different parts of the body.

This card is an effective way to demonstrate the negative effects of alcohol consumption as well as to remind everyone to “Stop. Think. Don’t Drink!”
