Description

The In the Know: Molly – Pure Ecstasy, Pure Danger pamphlet sheds light the so called “pure” form of ecstasy (MDMA). “Molly” is slang for an illegal street drug, which is often thought to be a “pure” form of Ecstasy or MDMA. However, capsules or powder called “Molly” often contain other illegal drugs, legal drugs, sugar, baking powder, soap, or other household substances. This drug is often hyped as a safe high. As the brochure explains, there is nothing safe about taking Molly. In addition to being a Schedule I drug, the effects of Molly on the brain’s dopamine and serotonin systems wreak havoc with memory, emotions and the ability to learn.

While the drug is through to be a “pure” form of Ecstasy, this pamphlet debunks that idea and points to its serious and deadly consequences. The pamphlet emphasizes the serious short and long term side effects of Molly. It also covers the risks a person takes when ingesting an unregulated, untested substance. Covering the very real possibility of addiction and overdose.
