Description
This pamphlet is both a companion piece to our Smokeless Tobacco DVD and a highly effective stand alone introduction to snuff and chewing tobacco. This brochure offers readers a thorough look at the numerous dangers that come with using smokeless tobacco. It features graphic photos and it breaks down the short and long term health effects of using this hazardous product.
This handout describes the forms of smokeless tobacco and lists some of its more common street names. It emphatically debunks the widely held perception that smokeless tobacco is a “safe” alternative to smoking. On the contrary, it notes that those who chew or dip receive at least as much addicting nicotine as those who smoke. Also that smokeless tobacco puts users at great risk of mouth and throat cancer, which is often profoundly disfiguring or fatal.
Underscoring the point that it is a revolting habit to others as well as dangerous to its users. The pamphlet includes several photos graphically documenting the deterioration of teeth and gums. Plus the white patches on gums that are precursors to oral cancer. The short and long term health effects of dip are also documented. To include rotted teeth, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease.
Smokeless tobacco is an expensive, dirty and dangerous habit that is difficult to quit, but there is a way!
